چکیده
Background: Bloodstream Infections (BSIs) that arise secondary to urinary tract infections (UTIs) are frequently encountered in both community and hospital settings associated with significant morbidity, mortality, high healthcare costs prolonged stays Objective: This descriptive review aims evaluate available information on the relationship of healthcare-associated community-onset bloodstream get a deeper understanding improved public health interventions suggest possibilities for future research. Methods: A literature search was conducted using PubMed Embase. Articles published during last 10 years (2010 2020) were imported into providence initial title abstract screening. All study abstracts reviewed by two independent reviewers eligible full-text if they mentioned infection as source infection. The data obtained analyzed Microsoft Excel. Results: Out 65 articles full text, studies selected. In total 6763 BSI cases reported. We observed 2075 (30.6%) community-acquired (CA) BSIs compared 1102 (16.2%) (HCA) BSIs, 1484 (21.9%) hospital-acquired (HA) BSIs. UTI major followed HCA most studies. Escherichia. coli common pathogen isolated patients CA-BSIs. Hospital Acquired bacterial have antimicrobial resistance, CA-infections. Conclusion: Urinary developing is Multidrug-resistant organisms accounted especially among receiving care. Keywords: infection, UTI, Acquired, Community

California, Davis Student Health Center (UCDSHC) has made prescribing NTF preferred for acute cystitis since 2001 as TMP/SMX has community resistance rates of ~20%. Ciprofloxacin is the second line agent at UCDSHC. Methods. UCDSHC reviewed all urine cultures and susceptibilities for clinical and epidemiologic purposes. Susceptibility results were gathered from the UCDSHC microbiology laboratory...
متن کاملPopulation-based epidemiology and microbiology of community-onset bloodstream infections.
Bloodstream infection (BSI) is a major cause of infectious disease morbidity and mortality worldwide. While a positive blood culture is mandatory for establishment of the presence of a BSI, there are a number of determinants that must be considered for establishment of this entity. Community-onset BSIs are those that occur in outpatients or are first identified <48 h after admission to hospital...
